Diablo 3

Is anyone still playing D3 online? I got 2 lvl 60 Characters, both into the paragon levels, and eventually i just couldn't anymore...

Im hoping the expansion gets the kind of reviews everyone was expecting from D3...

I am playing again after a year or so break and getting polished for the new Dlc . Must say it is fun to play again

I stopped playing long ago and hoping the expansion brings some life to d3 since it lost a lot that d2 had.

I stopped playing around the same time the Grim Dawn alpha was released and ironically enough Crate Entertainment decided to open up alpha testing on the anniversary of Diablo 3's release. :p

I'll definitely play again when Reaper of Souls releases though, while Diablo 3 burned me I can't deny that RoS looks like a major improvement to the game.

haven't played this yet, too many bad reviews and remarks from friends. any really good reason to pick it up with Reaper of Souls?

I personally found it incredibly monotonous and it felt like a chore to complete it. It was all run from A to B while fighting numerous monsters along the way. I never played the previous games (was forced into playing this one co-op with a friend) so I don't know if that is simply the structure of the Diablo games. If that's the case, I feel they are incredibly overrated "whistling:

It was the core of the games, but there was so much better in past Diablo games in the talents/runes and other mechanics.

The loot was also better not 99% useless, they also dumbed down d3 so much.

Yeah that's what my friend was saying too. Trying his best to convince me the previous ones were much better :p

Are you guys referring to the pc version or console version? Just asking cause this is in the console section and a lot of the last few posts sound like you are talking about the pc version.

I personally had it on PC, but got the PS3 version later on, and fun wise the console version was way better than the pc version. The zero lag did make a huge difference, but even the loot drops felt better. And using the controller felt right at home. I've finished it twice now on PS3, trying to grind out my characters to get to level 60. Looking forward to the expansion though, but in the meantime, lots of other games to keep me busy.

It's actually a lot of fun. Despite all its problem it's still the ARPG that has the most satisfying combat for me. The way stuff you kill go flying all over the screen can't be beat. It just feels really good.

Also you have no excuse not to try it, there is a starter edition which you can try for free.

I played the offline co-op on PS3 and it was still poop for me :p

The starter edition has gameplay up to the Skeleton King if I remember right? And I think most guys bashed the pc game upfront due to it's online requirements and the RMAH. On console that does not apply though, and even on pc the RMAH is soon to be a thing of the past. Not sure about the online requirement though.

The online requirement will likely always be in the PC version, but to be honest it doesn't bother me as much as some people. If it was optional I would have played it online anyway.

I must still plat it, just waiting for the need to play it again, and hopefully Reaper of Souls will be it. I'm on 46% completion at the moment :(
