Diablo III beta coming in Q3

Diablo II beta details revealed - Aim for open beta in Q3 2011

Blizzard have announced that they aim to complete Diablo 3 by 2011 with an open beta in Q3 2011. These are not cast in stone though as they have stuck to their usual 'when it's done' mantra.

Lol, you posted this one minute after I posted the news from another site. Feel free to merge or delete my topic. I'm so super duper amped. I think that a Q3 beta though won;t result in a release this year.
 
Meh, I used to enjoy doing Beta's, but lately I found it either breaks my anticipation for the game entirely, or completely ruins the game for me (spoiler etc).

I do hope the Beta happens in the earlier frame of Q3. Would show a lot of promise for a 2011 release, but I still don't think that it will actually happen.
I will still remain looking at 2012 for release and be massively surprised when it does release 2011.
 
Aah, I can't become a beta tester, they want to check my pc specs.... don't think my P4 will pass :) :)
 
I'm not going to try and get into the beta. This is one game where I want to play the finished polished product and enjoy it to my hearts content. Soon! Oh man, I can't wait!

I agree with this, Playing beta will just ruin my future experiences with it :D
 
I have to admit i'm starting to feel less excited about diablo 3. Its almost become duke nukem forever. I loved diablo 1, loved diablo 2 (less than one though), I'm just wondering about the fact its been in development for so long, it could come out being slightly dated. I pray and hope not, and i'm sure i will love this game. I'm just starting to get a little worried.

Nah, this is Blizzard. Remember that it took ages for Diablo II to be released to and when it came out, it actually was dated. 800x600 resolution! Ewww! Which was fixed with the expansion. I've got a lot of faith in Blizzard. They know what they are doing.
