I use the Templar cause he has that stun charge move thing, but im a bit finicky with him because if you be 2 nice to him he bugs out and crashes the game

We might see old school return via dlc. I do hope so. I'm a customization whore, but panel said they've removed it due to making a wrong build or over focusing on something.
I doubt they'll add it back in. Which is a shame, it truly added depth to character building. The interesting (stupid?) thing IMO, is that Bliz plans on expanding the auction house to include characters at some point. What's the point of buying a character if every piece of customization is out of the game? You'll literally be buying the levels..

They are banking on people being stupid enough to buy characters.
As for dyes, I've only used the ones I got with the CE.

@ VindicatoR, are you playing a Barb? I have read around a lot that you should stack heaps of +vitality gear for more survivability.
I unfortunately didn't get a lot of playtime in this weekend. Am currently level 27 on my Wizard and still loving it. The wizard is incredibly powerful when played correctly. Diamond armor makes me tank like a boss, frost nova is still an incredible CC, meteor makes dealing with packs GG. My current build: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/wizard#UcXSYk!bc!aaaaZ (elective mode FTW). I want to use more skills though... Slow Time is just pimp! For coop though, my build will change dramatically I rate.
I have really been taking my time though and am enjoying the game properly, but I am getting tired of declining invites and not playing MP. I just want to get my "solo" playthrough done now. Most of my friendslist are starting or progressing through nightmare / hell / inferno and I am missing out on a big portion of the game. Can't wait.
That being said, I did make a decision to play 100% solo through normal and will stick to it

Im am playing a Barb Co-op and a Wizard Solo. http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/wizard#UiXlSh!bc!ZaZ.a - My wizard build. She is truly devestating. I use Diamond Armour and time bomb only when swamped. Mostly its Blizzard then Disintegrate as they are slowed by the Blizzard, then as my arcane energy runs slow I switch to electrocute which fills the energy back up and since it has nice range I dont let the mobs get close.
My Barb is partnered up with a Witch Doctor so he is up close and in your face. (http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/barbarian#WhXViT!bY!Zaaa.a) He has this massive hammer so frenzy to get fury up, then battle rage, leap, spin and watch the body parts fly.

Haha yeah the same happened to me. Hopefully the prices of the items on auction will stabilize because currently it's cheap and easy to buy gear from there. And the gear on there is just amazing!
It does take away the excitement of grinding for items though.

Which is why I opted to not buy any gear from the AH. I bought the pages of blacksmithing & jewlcrafting only because I thought I was having extremely shit luck and not getting any.
Ive pumped most of my gold into the artisans, getting them both to where they need those pages. Also upgraded my Stash to where I need to buy a second tab for 100K gold to get more space. For the moment its more than enough space and after upgrading my artisans with the pages I got from the AH I only have about 14K of my original 75K left.

damn you rich! finally opened the second tab in my stash ... took ages, just cant stop spending on upgrades for blacksmithing & jewlcrafting

2 Characters. I got my Blacksmith upgraded to where he needs paged with My Barbarian, so all the money from my Wizard went into Stash and Jeweller & the odd bit of crafting. When that was all done didn't any anything to spend money on so it just lay there until it occurred to me to check the AH for those pages.

Im going to stay away from the auction now, because like you say the items are amazing and cheap, and i find myself just running past items or leaving parts of the map unexplored.

Only in nightmare? Oh okay that makes sense. I was looking at the blacksmithing progression earlier and noticed Im only about a quarter of the way there.
