Ye cool man, Wizard is loads of fun up to Inferno atm imo :) Enjoy it!

Just on a side note...

% of dmg as life in D3 is very very bad. It suffers from heavy reductions.

30% in nightmare
60% in hell
80% in inferno

That is also why life on hit on items is far better.

Ie, say you get an endgame item with +850 life on it vs an item with 3% lifesteal (3% is the highest it goes).
Using Frenzy, life on hit you get 80% of that (each spell have different mods), so that's what? 680? life you get per hit
But on the other hand, since the 3% lifesteal suffers 80% reduction in inferno, you will have to do something like a 113k hits to get the same about of life back :) and those kind of hits is not going to happen :)
 
HP on hit is very nice ... i use shadow power with gloom rune to survive big hits that i cant avoid then fan of knivies to get my HP back up
 
wait your dps is 4k with the passive skill sharpshooter (that skill that ups your crits every 3 seconds)? i suggest a better weapon, try to get one with stun, fear, immobilize or freeze on hit stats. Cold damage also works brilliantly compared to fire and lightning.

tbh people can hate the AH but its probably one of the best ways to get level gear for chars especially if you struggling. Dont fool yourself and think that you will always get item drops that suit the level char you currently playing.

I got a 240 dps bow and it definitely improved my survivability in hell. Though it didnt help me much in killing that invulnerable mob which champion was the only one i had to kill ... lots and lots of kiting was needed there

so what you are saying life steal % is bad and life per hit lot better? so whats the point of life steal then.
 
Yeah as do I. But tonight is actually the one night I can play this week. It's just going to be peachy if the servers are down.

A okay I see they are bringing servers slowly online you should be able to play later tonight.

And the stupid Blizzard Infrastructure falls over again... sigh would have thought that a company who owns the biggest online game in the world would know what to expect with future releases.
 
Omega you must def be doing something wrong to have such trouble. Hit me up ingame and we can talk.

Next time I decide to play barb i'll do that. Like I said for now I am enjoying my Wizard alot more. Worst part is all through normal the Barb was fine but right after the skeleton king on Nightmare he started dying way too often. Stuck with it for a bit but then after the Spider Queen I just had enough. Eventually I will revisit him and check, I am dumping gear into my stash that the barb could use so who knows. I did take all the gems in his armor and used them to beef up the Wizard though so yeah.
