Ja I saw, still hording my jewels for the reduced cost was already at level 8 on both when the announcement was made so was not much to do anyway, what else to do with all the money, I already have decent gear and 53k damage + resistance of +-180 on all elements...

Edit: I actually reduced my Damage for more life no so have 44k Damage but 30k Life

Keep it since they are increasing death gold cost to about 4x or 6x times more than what it is now.
 
Managed to complete act I of hell tonight. In a group of 3 we were just cruising through. It was actually too easy... and that's my biggest worry for patch 1.0.3. as well.
 
Just got to Act 3 in inferno on my monk, the monk with life on hit build is really op, just stood in Belial's fist attacks on inferno and before next hit my life was full from normal attack spam. But the elites in act 3 are crazy, and have a crapload of hp.

Ye Belial is easy mode. You don't even need life on hit. You are right thou, those elites in Act 3 & 4 are really crazy!

I don't know where the rumours stem from, but if they do decide to do a roll back to a clean slate that will be the end of my D3 experience. The legitimate players shouldn't have to suffer because Blizzard were incapable of controlling their economy and their game security. (The same argument goes for the always online)

Bring out Torchlight II!

They won't rollback to a clean slate, since the exploit was only opened when commodities came back online last week. Plus, the exploit has to do with cancelling AH post illegitimately after the 5 min grace period, so it'll be a reasonably easy database search to find particular accounts that was affected and only rollback those, IMO.

I think it has been said before but no matter what people will find a way to cheat. If they roll back by anything more than 24 hours I wont be playing D3 again for a While as I have invested around 80 - 90 hours in my 3 characters and if that is wiped away because of some fucking hacking who can't just play the game then I will let my D3 hibernate for a while, while I find something else to play.

On a More positive note I finished Act III on Nightmare last night with the Barb, Azmodan took me about 3 tries I think. Ended up equipping some vitality boosting gear that pushed my health from about 5K to 9K while only droping my Damage by about 600. Managed to tank a few of hit attack and by using Berserker and the 15 seconds of 9.8K dps it gives me I pushed him under 75% of his health, then kite-ed him a bit before finishing him off. Now busy with the ascent to face Diablo on Act 4.

All these exploits and bots have been killing the AH. One would have thought that items would become cheaper the longer the game is out due to the amount available.

But no, the good things just keep getting more expensive because of the worth of a gold piece.

Patch 1.0.2c now and 1.0.3 only later in the month.

I don't like the situation I am in atm.
Any gear upgrades on the AH for me costs 3mil+ (well most 5-7 mil)
Farming Act3/4 is still very very hard and most elites I cant even do. No fun
I can probly skip the elites in Act 4 and just go kill Diablo, but that's not a fun way of "finishing" it

How long does it take a legit player with a normal real life to farm 5mil gold for 1 upgrade...?
And then its only really for upgrades, not the really BIS type of items. Those I'd like to farm myself also

Chatting to some friends last night and they were telling me how they play the AH. Neither of them are 60 yet they both have over 1M gold, one has 3M+.

So me as a legit player does dozens of inferno butcher/sk runs, been 60 for a while and have many many hours on my character, barely has 1M gold. Considering the absolute turd drops you get in Act I you can hardly even sell the stuff on the AH.

So basically I've come to the conclusion that farming the AH for 30mins a day is a better use of my time and more likely to allow my character to progress than doing actual boss runs.
 
So once again the worst part about a game is other people....

Client side clock on AH!? REARLlY!? No wonder exploits and videos are flying across 4chan, reddit and D3 forums. People where making millions in a couple of minutes.

Ye I know one can play the AH, but it is a b%#h also. I have no real interest in spending time on a Auction house or time just farming for gold (those boring runs)
Like a normal person I work office hours and when I get home and feel like playing Diablo 3, I want to do what is fun for me in the game and not what I have to do in order to progress further. Kinda annoying.

So what options does it leave me? Buy the items with real money? (still hoping for the best from 1.0.3)

I also feel that way hence I've never bothered with the AH too much other than a few purchases here and there, but actually trying to play the game for item drops just seems almost pointless. I want to see more than just Blues and Yellows DAMMIT!.

I mostly get grays and then few blues and rares from boss mostly
 
RMAH goes live today, already saw $250 items on the US side. Blizzard what monster have you created? As for gold auction house thats... I dont even know anymore.

Oh wait, been delayed. Again. RMAH 15th for EU.
