Diablo III - General Discussion Thread

In case you missed it B.net got hacked. So yes your account could have been compromised.

Thanks, I did know that, but I thought it was US servers only. Anyway, have reset my password and all is well again but for all that is holy Blizzard, please sort your shit out.

Failed to update tools. Dafuq -.-

There are a few tools I wouldn't mind "updating" through the medium of a clenched fist.

I stopped bothering with the game when I was still donning level 5 boots at level 20. Any game that forces me to grind gold to get new equipment is not worth my time.

And, once again, like Monk said, they're not busy releasing patches, they're still busy working on the core game.

I don't know whether I should complain (seeing as it's a nice system actually) or whether I should just be grateful they're actually doing something to alleviate the gear find issue.

I'm still not sure how they could have had a working PvP system 3-4years ago, playable a Blizzcon and yet 3-4months after release they still have yet to release the content. They said they pulled it because it wasn't up to their standards but that goes for the whole game, so it could only make things better.

Well at least we can still have stuff to look forward to. It's not like they release the game and then just forget about it.

If I order a 3 course meal from a restaurant, I eat my main meal and they only bring me the dessert a day later, I'm not looking forward to the dessert, I've already fked off to a different place.

That's also true. The game has been out for more or less three months now, so the majority of players have finished it and moved on already.

Nice for us casual gamers -gives you something to look forward to beyond level 60.

I really wish that they would work on the basic design with respect to increased randomisation of levels and maps - we need more dungeons per map - more random enemies, more random level design, and, better sub-quests - the current sub-quests smack of really lazy design - they're just too easy i.e. no more difficult than any other random dungeon.

I may try playing a bit again after the 1.0.4 patch, but the improvements will have to be substantial to hook me again, I personally lost interest once I finished my first playthrough - there is not enough randomness in the game to keep it interesting IMO.

Well according to Athene, given the amount of XP you need to get to paragon 100, and given a decent leveling rate of 1.5 million per hour, he calculates it would take you playing 10hrs a day for 2years to get to paragon 100. So I doubt this will make too much difference to the casual player who will no doubt get bored of the game long before then. :)

Holy Crap.
