One of the few games that will be seeing a chunk of my money come release day instead of waiting a few months for a price drop.

Grabbing my copy on release day, I just have to decide if I'm buying direct from Blizzard, or getting the boxed version at BTGames.. SO EXITE!!

I'm not one for junk that just clutters my desk space or drawers, so the only thing from the CE that I would actually enjoy is exclusive in-game character wings and armour dye. Not paying an extra R300 for that; I'd be certifiable if I did.

Makes me wish I got that R100 voucher from Groupon as well... Oh well, still a good deal on the CE.

I ordered mine before I published the article cos I know how you guys roll =_=

Ouch, what's up with blizzard pricing their PC games like console games.
What's up with that attitude always being a 'pc cheapskate buyer' ?

Why must pc games always be like around the R200-R300 mark?

You guys always seem to want every game for next to nothing while it's an 'accepted standard' for console games to cost up too 1k. Weird hey. Why not if want the box imho you should pay extra, I'd wonder how long before they charge less for digital distro and more for physical. Maybe they should just charge all games at flat rate of R600 :p

I'm curious what do you think you should pay for a game that came written, printed and boxed to your house?

If you can pay R100-R190 for about 60 mins of music why can't you pay R470 for a game that will definitely last longer than just 60 minutes, going to dinner for R200, going for flick or getting pissed for the same amount. I'm always amazed how some folks could easily spent like hundreds of rands, but when they are for example forced to use and internet cafe for R10 per hour then it's just too much. *shrugs*

Besides this is not 1980 anymore and the cost of entertainment has risen and so has games...

Thanks, I saw the mail and finally let my soul rest in peace as I ordered the CE. Was just about to give up on takealot today and diablo 3's ce after camping that page since it got listed... then good news inbox :D

Going to give the CE a skip, even though I really want the making of Bluray/Dvd and I know I am going to regret this like I regret not getting the Starcraft 2 CE.

I ordered it this afternoon, can't wait!!! You welcome to the DVD, I don't think I've ever watch one of those makings of in the handful of CE I've bought.

lol

Firstly R1000 games are nowhere near acceptable nor are they the norm for console games. Secondly platform holders take 30% from all games sold on their console, so given an equally priced game the publisher makes 30% more for a PC game. So expecting PC games to be cheaper isn't unreasonable.

R350 is hardly "next to nothing".

It's pretty cheap, IMO, if you consider that I paid R300 for Tomb Raider 2 in 1998 (I think) and GTA in 1997.. Half-Life was R300 as well in 1997, yet I got The Orange Box in 2007 (again, I think) for around R200.. PC games have weirdly only barely increased in price in the past decade, whereas console games simply saw a steady increase as one would expect.

I'll grant you, though, not next to nothing, but I think oddly cheap might still be accurate.. ;)

Not sure about console games getting more expensive, I remember sega Saturn games for R700.

Call me cheapskate all you want, but R500 RRP is a touch high for my taste.
I would go as high as R400 RRP, which means someone out there would cut a nice discount down to R350. I'm comfortable with that sort of pricing.

500 though... I dunno... I might have to wait for someone to do a special on this one.

Ya ill wait and see also if any good will get but to commit to that price start to set a standard and then all the games will sell for that
