Diablo III to get new Monster Power system

The more I see things like this the more I think blizzard just don't have a clue on how to make the game balanced and fun.

Oh well. I wish I can stop playing Diablo III and play something else but every time I try I find myself playing D3 again. I'm addicted and I don't even know why.

It was exactly like that for me. I was playing it and kept playing it and didn't even know why. I started to realise I'm not even having fun doing this anymore. I said to myself i would try it again after a few updates but once i stopped cant bring myself to go back to it. Having more fun with torchlight. I may try it out once pvp comes out.

Interestingly if you look at the EU blog post it shows the drop rates as lower than the US blog post.

Damn and as I went to go look again they fixed it.

Get your self's torchlight 2 and have some fun dammit guys :p you don't have to sit their and grind grind grind.

Blizzard is still busy developing the game, not making additions. Half of these things should have been in the game from the start.

It's good that Blizzard didn't just leave the game dead in the water, but the big question is, how many players actually still care? I logged in the other day at about 8pm, and from a friends list of about 50 players not a single one had logged in in a week.

I was the same. Took a long break and came back to it. I tried Torchlight 2, but something about it just couldn't hook me, Diablo just feels better for me when killing monsters. I'm playing a hardcore character now at level57 and it's awesome. The grinding part is saved by the intense moments of fear that can leave you rattled for a while after you've quit the game. I really recommend people bored of the game give hardcore a shot. I just hope I don't die one day because of a lag spike, timeout or something like that.

I'm happy to see the changes and additions happening, but like Graal says, this sort of stuff should have been in the game at the start. And the fact they needed to fully launch the game to find out all these issues shows they really lacked the fundamental understanding of what made D2 so great. They still haven't fully realised that there's a huge issue with the type of items that drop and their boring attributes.

This should have been in at the start and would have made the first three difficulties more interesting, as it stands now it's just too little too late. I've had my fill of this game for the foreseeable future.

Torchlight 2 is more satisfying for me, it has much MUCH better loot.

Meh. D3 is dead. They fcked it up so bad and are now trying to make amends. Like anyone even cares. I finished it on normal, and didn't the see the point of doing it all over again

I don't know hey. To me it feels like you missed the best part of the game which is Inferno. Everything before Inferno is boring but once you get there it changes the game. I appreciate that Blizzard is trying to improve the game the whole time. It's far from perfect but it has its moments.

Recently I found something that's a lot of fun to do in D3. I join public games in Act 3 Inferno and help players progress who clearly shouldn't attempt such high difficulties yet. This will change now with the new patch though since the Monster Power system doesn't work in public games and they are making normal Inferno a lot easier.

However I made a lot of D3 friends that I will play with when the new patch arrives.

Have to agree with Solitude, Playing the game only on normal is a waste. While it is far from Perfect I spent about 120 hours playing it bringing 2 characters up to 60 before I grew bored, that amounts to finishing the game about 6 times over the course of the different difficulties. It didn't get interesting until I got to lvl 30 plus, then shit started heating up. And for all its flaws it was still a fuck ton of fun with 2 or 3 buds.

Hehe thanks. I'm a casual player so I don't have uber gear and all that but I tend not to die which is good. :) If you are still playing you are welcome to add me as a friend. Solitude#2690

But i think thats a huge problem with the game, if the game only starts at Inferno, why do i have to play the same kak story 3 times. There should be an alternative to doing each act over and over and over again. got so bored. And then once i got to inferno it was impossible, had to play hell a bunch more times. The game just felt like i was doing the same thing over and over again.

:P

I also played the game for about 80 hours, got a Wizard and Monk to lvl 60. Got to Act III on Inferno but it was a bit difficult, so started grinding Act II for items and that's where I lost interest. Grinding just aint fun. At least I made back the money I paid for the collectors edition by using RMAH!

Don't think any amount of patching will bring me back. The only thing that would get me to fire it up again would be new content in the form of an expansion or DLC. Don't see that happening anytime soon though.

Oh it was, and I agree having to get to Hell for it to be intresting is a flaw. I still enjoyed it but now im all played out, which I guess is why Torchlight 2 is barely being played. (by me i mean.)

After I played Torchlight 2 I don't really see me going back to Diablo 3, ever. I'd much rather replay TL2.
