Diablo3 and your ISP?

I was just wondering how your experiences have been with D3...and if good/bad, who your ISP is too? It could also be worth knowing where you are situated too.

I've been having DC issues with mweb uncapped...so I as thinking is might be worth getting a secondary ISP for jamming D3.

WA currently have issues with D3 regarding latency. Its hardware related and they are waiting for that to be patched.

Afrihost currently gives me very decent latency

It differs from night to night. I usually play with an unshaped account but occasionally I forget to switch and play with my WA account. The difference is usually so little that it's not even worth switching.

I had really bad lag last night. Was playing on an unshaped account like I do most of the time and the game just kept on feeling stuttery the whole time. I would type a chat message to the party and they would respond to it, but I couldn't see my own message in the chat. I would also walk past an area just to have gold appear out of thin air next to me. We had difficulty zoning into the boss fights several times when it kept on saying one of your party members had already started the encounter when all of us were still standing outside.

I only had an hour and a half to play and it was quite annoying for that whole time.

I am strongly opposed to the online-only requirement of D3 and I firmly believe that it is detracting from the game and not offering anything that couldn't have been offered anyway. They could have offered the same online experience while allowing you to host your own game and thereby reduce your latency to something negligible.

See my sig :D

Well I can't go more than 5mins playing until I get Error 3007, lost connection. I have a 1mb line which works like a charm for xbox live games, even 2 xboxs running the same game both with voip... WTF man!

I thought I'd give PC gaming a go again with D3 but this seriously sucks balls.

EDIT: Changed chat setting to general as per http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/5149007206, seems to stay connected longer In fact, it never died but I couldn't play for longer than 20 mins due to other commitments. Either way, it looks promising. I dont know why that would make a difference. I'll give it a proper test later tonight maybe. If its still dying, I'll forward the ports if need be.

My only issue is ping... Im on a cybersmart 1mb account and ping averages 450ms... which is kind of frustrating :/

Best I get is 260 (during the weekdays and during business hours this is very common) and depending on when I play in the week it can change up to about 400.
Telkom capped

MWEB Uncapped 1Mbps.

200 - 480 ping (depending on time), occasional lag but very very rare and no disconnects whatsoever.

Next to your resource globe (bottom right hand side of your screen) is a bar.

Not my screen (95ms.. if only), quick google.

Openweb Gold on the VB backbone, 230 average during the day and over 400 at night. Think the night one has more to do with Diablo 3 server crowding, though.

Webafrica. 200-300 for 99% of the time.

Started up my laptop on my home wireless yesterday and my lat jumped to 1500+. It seems dropbox, skydrive and Google drive all trying to update at the same time tends to do it.
