DICE laments: "Maybe we shouldn't do a beta"

Don't worry DICE, you have a lot of level headed supporters. Can't wait for BF3, it's going to be the most fun in the land! :D

I am sure if the launched Beta with the Caspian border instead of that shit hole metro map they would have had way better positive feed back, even I would have looked past all the horrific bugs. Not to mention the server issues..Yeah I know its just a Beta..but sort you're shit out before launching it..Anyway I doubt they will ever do a open beta again.

I am still stoked for the game, I'll be honest..I do like the Jets and I love the idea of 64 vs 64 player games..I just hope that when it launches there won't be a million patches before you can play..If anything they should have learned from Activision's issues when black ops launched.

Maybe DICE needs a BETA entrance test/exam for people that cannot distinguish the difference.

I agree.
Too bad most of you already fail.
A demo does not need nor require feedback of any kind. The game has already been "printed".

Beta however, is incomplete, and serves for a platform of feedback.
If a developer puts out a Beta, and then comes about to cry like a spoiled child because "BILLY DOESN'T LIKE IT, WHAAAAAH!!!"...
THAT folks, is the real fail. Not Billy, who in fact did exactly what was supposed to be done in a Beta. Play, report, critique, suggest, test, and ultimately... PROVIDE FEEDBACK!

I believe billy did all the crying and saying that he hates the game... when he isn't actually playing the game.

DICE are complaining about people that aren't being constructive and giving feedback in a way that is helpful but more just having a rant about everything they can think of that they don't like.

the thing is, the point of a beta is to obtain all the feedback (whether it be positive or negative) as possible while it is in 'testing' phase - then they can get an idea of what the game lacks and where the faults lie so that they can fix up the original game to be absolutely ready for release :/ as simple as that... I'm actually just not going to read any commentary about this game until it comes out because people are starting to go absolutely full-retard, completely losing the plot. I'm pretty sure this game will be all I wanted it to be. Getting a bit tired of all this negative bs that's not even remotely relevant.

It'll sell just fine. The developers need to stop stressing. As was proven with MW...all those boycott threats & complaining never really materializes.

Speaking specifically about the PC beta to Kotaku, DICE developer Patrick Bach vented some of his frustrations at the overly negative feedback they have been getting from certain players.
Would that be the one with the Origin BS?
