DICE points to consoles for Battlefield 3 PC update delays

This makes no sense. What does console certification have to do with the PC platform? Why not just roll out the PC patch and let the console players wait for the certification?

This kinda confirms my guess:

“You get proper testing. There’s a lot of process that is there to guarantee a great gameplay experience. Our problem with support is we have a very big and complex game, so if something needs to be fixed, we need to be sure that it doesn’t break something at the other end and again, like I said, we don’t want to do emergency fixes to compensate for a problem in a specific area,” said Bachman.

Think it's got something to do with when there's something that's not right, they will have to roll out an emergency fix to keep the consistency across all the platforms, or something of that nature, I'm not sure. That's my best guess.

Either way, screw MS. Give us that patch! :D

How is that the PC's problem?

I also think that when the patch is done, send it to the PC. When they finally finish testing the PS3 and Xbox several weeks later, then give them the patch.

Damn consoles always having a negative effect on the PCs.
 
They're displacing the anger. Now, instead of people being pissed that DICE is holding back the PC patch, they're pissed at consoles.
