DICE shift focus to Battlefield 5

Of course WE don't, but WE are probably not Battlefield players :D

haha

true, but there's a good reason for that :p

look I've played a bit of BF4 and it was fun but nothing special. It's all just more of the same now. What else can they really do now?

I had this fight with a mate this weekend after a lot of beer where he tried to convince me that I should buy BF4 Premium now and then BF5 when it releases cause... well basically it will just be a complete, polished BF4

Battlefield, Assassins Creed - all started out as much loved series that I consistently bought and enjoyed playing but now with annual(or biannual) release upon release I find myself not bothering in trying to keep up anymore.

I'm hoping they do a Battlefield 1942 2 of some sort, 1943 didn't really count.

2142 was the most original game in the series. And the only one I really enjoyed playing MP

Bad Company 2 was the best SP entry

Yeah I've just got good memories of playing 1942 in internet cafe's, use to play that and Lan it quite often against bots.

My favorites of the series are 1942 and Bad Company 2

the only good memories I have of 1942 is the Desert Combat mod :p

Naa, it will be most of the weapons from Battlefield 2, 3, 4 and Hardline plus maybe one or two more; Likely to include a couple more vehicles; Multiplayer modes will include Conquest, Rush, Team Deathmatch, Squad Deathmatch, Domination, Obliteration, Defuse, Air Superiority, Capture the Flag, Carrier Assault, Chain Link, Gun Master & Squad Conquest; Expect 4-6 DLC packs with extra maps and character skins, extra weapons and new vehicles; Expect a Metacritic score between 79 and 89; Gamespot and IGN will score it 8.5/10 on average

I would be keen for Bad Company 3

I literally died inside thinking BF5 is the next focus (as I did when BF4 was in development to be followed by Hardline, goodness I might just be a member of the undead at this point). Just give us Bad Company 3 (I feel like I'm becoming one-note every time I mention), but lest we forget, DICE don't know why Bad Company 2 was beloved. So yeah, there's that.

tbh, I'm not 100% sure why I liked BC2 so much either.... I just did

I'd actually like another BF 2142, I liked the modes and futuristic stuff in that one, and I think that with today's technology it could be something quite cool. But then again, it is EA so they will find a way to screw it up somehow.

I don't think they would go straight to Battlefield 5, either a brand new brand of battlefield or a sequel to 1942/2142/Bad Company

I guess the challenge for DICE now is: How to make a game with even less content than Star Wars:Battlefront while still asking $60 for half of it and another $60 or the rest.

There was something about BC2 that was just awesome. Even after playing a ton of BF3 and BF4, I still have nostalgic pangs of BC2
