Did gaming really start on the PC?

If im not mistaken the first video game was set around the 40's and the equipment used was a Cathode Ray tube where they played pong :D

no pc gaming didn't start it all.

it just pushed okes who are big today to where they are

Mm the whole 'isn't as important as pc fanboys want it to be' kinda misled me... Oh wait a sec...

console gamers have opinions too...

Imagine there's no fanboi
It's easy if you try
No pc gamers below us
Above us only consoles
Imagine all the people
just playing console games all day

Imagine there's no piracy
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to By-pass or any DRM
And no Hardware upgrades too
Imagine all the people
just playing console games all day

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be consoles only

Imagine no more driver issues
I wonder if you can
No need for reinstallation or compatibilty
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing only ease of use

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be consoles only

Really now what was the point of this article? To shove it in the faces of PC gamers?

Not to discredit Azimuth's intellectual background, but you probably could've attained the info on this article from a chappies wrapper. In such a case you'd be the one shoving it in your own face ... and enjoying it. I fail to see how the article is striking any nerves.

it'll strike the nerves of folks who want something to complain about.

sheesh folks get back to what's important, playing games, regardless of which platform it's located on :)

Who cares anyway. A platform is a platform. As long as it makes with the beeps and flickering lights, i'll play it.

I can predict azimuth's articles :D (see when ever in the comments or forum people "get something wrong" enough times azi will go write an article on it, I'm a genius)
