Microsoft, AMD, and Nvidia have unveiled DirectX 12 – but will you need new hardware to use it?

Sad that Amd wont support the HD 5000 and 6000 series with dx 12

I really want to get hold of the API. ATI haven't given Mantle away yet too poor suffering devs. Would love to get my sticky paws on this to play with.
