DIRT 4 Teased by Codemasters

Racing game developer Codemasters has teased the next installment in its popular Dirt franchise.

The tease comes courtesy of a couple of tweets, the first of which simply reads "4", with a second coming shortly after saying "oops sorry finger slipped".

The last entry in the series, Dirt 3, hit the track in 2011 though the Complete Edition surfaced in 2012 replete with extra content and all the game's tracks.

Obviously this isn't an official announcement but surely we won't have to wait much longer for a wealth of information on the new title.

i have to agree with reavs, not a fan of the gymkhana events

I am with Ike on this one. I enjoyed the gymkhana events actually. But hopefully the main focus of Dirt 4 will be more in the line of actual rally races than gymkhana.

I wouldn't mind it so much if it were optional events. But if they want to include it into the progression then it would be better suited in a spinoff like Showdown. You can always test a drivers skill with more "technical" locations.
