I use to get ticked off by this too. But have you noticed that Afrikaans people really do talk like that now. Listen to a nice boere seun talk English next time. He sounds just like Wikus.

This movie is really accurate when it came to the raid scene. That is exactly how the cops raid and what it looks like. Really realistic when it comes to the overall feel of the South African police force (MNU in this case) I'll give this movie a 9.2 out of 10. Brilliant

I watched it for the second time last night.

I actually preferred it the second time around. The accent lost its funniness, so I was able to take it more seriously. Also noticed small details I didn't the first time etc.

The cinema was packed.
