Do driving games make you a bad driver?

If you can distinguish reality from games, I'd say NO.


Oh, and can we have a poll option for 0 accidents please? :D I'm not choosing a number in that poll until 0 is added.
 
The poll is flawed, as there is no '0' option.

And the question is subjective. If you're a fscking moron that can't distinguish reality from fantasty, then yes. However if you're reasonably well adjusted, then no.
 
I don't drive the same in games and real life. You can't just go plowing through everything in Real Life.

And 0 for the poll. Fail options are fail. We're not that reckless.
 
I've had one accident. I was waiting at a petrol station for 15 minutes behind another car. No one came to help this guy. I got so annoyed that I thought screw this, I'm going somewhere else. So I reversed and um unfortunately I didn't look behind me properly. So I reversed straight into another car.

This would not have happened if I just managed to keep calm and not reverse in frustration. Is it gaming's fault? Nah. It was my own stupidity.
 
Who ever did that poll really have lots of accidents, since in 5 years learners and drivers had no accidents.
 
Whoever set up that poll- just because you make at least 1 accident a year doesn't mean we all do! And I don't even play racing games you bastards! Stupid research is useless and stupid :rolleyes:
 
I need a zero since I've been in zero (add it to the poll list, or is it expected that we all had at least one accident in the last year?). I would say my years of playing Gran Turismo have payed off and have certainly played a part in the way I drive (not fast hehe :D).

Knock on wood I hope to remain accident free for a while. :)
 
11 years of driving and 5 accidents unfortunately, but not have had one in the last 7 years.
 
I dunno about the rest of you but my handbrake turns would suck if I hadn't learned to drive on my Playstation.

The police are more likely to pull over gamers? :wtf:

How do they recognise a gamer? Maybe they should learn the laws of the road first.
 
I've got a heavily modified little Turbo toy. I've had it for 4 years now and not 1 speeding ticket or accident :D
