Do trophies and achievements sell video games?

grinding should always unlock something within the game not a useless trophy or achievement. I have always had an issue with this mechanic. Its as bad as DLC, like R10 for a special gun or outift etc, thats crap. It should be unlocked in game with 'achievements'.
 
The only game I'm playing where I have the slightest interest in "trophies" is the new Hitman game... but that's only because it unlocks guns and equipment. Other than that, I'm chuffed if I get one, but I don't go looking for them.

Personally, I don't think games should have grinding.
