Usually end up neutral bordering on good side depending on the game.
If I try go the evil/bad route normally always end up doing good actions so it balances it back out.
I choose "good" the first play through. On the second play through; I "choose" bad but for some strange reason by then a new title/game would have been released and I would start with the new game, not completing the old one.
Usually take bad first, it gives you more freedom in your game. No need to worry about doing everything perfectly and you can really enjoy the freedom of not giving a dam if you dont get to point B in 30 seconds or little girl dies....
It also helps to give your character an evil or rediculusly stupid name if the option is available. Makes you feel less guilty for being so bad.
I usually make decisions in game depending on the situation that is provided to me at the moment. Also my decisions is based on the type of person I am in real life... which usually ends up being the good guy that shares (which sometimes ends up in the player dying).
If I can take the neutral path, then I do that, otherwise it depends on what choice gets me the most rewards. In Fallout 3 I stuck to good decisions because I didn't enjoy the game as much being evil, and I found that you didn't reap as many rewards.
But in the case of Knights of the Old Republic, evil was just more fun, because the dark side is generally better
I stick with the good path, because I find it to be generally harder to do and you reap less rewards, but is far more satisfying then following the evil path.
I've tried to play the game as good, then redo it as evil, but when I start the evil path I feel compelled not to continue because of how wrong it feels lol.
Guess the long and the short of it, is that I just can't play evil cause it doesn't feel right
