Don't try the Alberton Home Affairs.... I went twice, stood for a few hours and told us to leave the fingerprint scanner doesnt work. Went the next week, stood a few hours and again the guy came out, saying the camera wasnt working. Apparently its a normal thing there from listening to ppl when I left. I havent seen the inside since they rebuilt the place years ago.
Driver license renewal was much quicker though, but obviously different location.
I went somewhere else for my Passport, I spent more time driving to it than in the queue, pickup was even quicker. VISA application was just as quick.
But to queue for coffee and burgers....I wont even wait at a restaurant if its full. I spend so much time waiting that I dont do it unless its really required. Plus I have the patience of a 1mm long lit fuse.
I wont mind trying the coffee, but I'll do it in a few months time.
