i have two pc's at the moment. My laptop which i use mainly for Lanning and the other was supposed to be for watching movies and doing work on at home but alas its Mobo has died.... so now it has to wait until im done buying all the other stuff i need.... ie. shoes, golf equipment, car service etc....oh and in that order too :D

hmmm interesting, The only way I could play on a Lappy for a LAN is IF I hocked up a Proper keyboard and mouse

lol man, i dunno either. such an useless feature, Levono are even worse with the fake mouse in the cente of the keyboard. The red ball of fury as i call it

Get the Acer 8930G, Its an awesome laptop for the price, paid just under 15k for it,
Core 2 duo T9400 2.5ghz
640gb Hdd
9700m GT
4 gb DDR3 Ram
blu ray dvd writer
18.4 HD screen 1920x1080
and built in TV tuner

Awesome to take around to lans. Yes its a bit pricey compared to a pc, but u dont have to carry a screen, no kb, especially no case... u just take and go. Your whole gaming rig can fit into 1 bag.

I would still need a keyboard

I want to build a lan pc, build it into those Shuttle XP cases.

My PC is a pain in the butt to cart around. Took it to a lan once, and the side panel got scratched so badly whilst driving to the venue :( And it's a new case as well..

Having a Lan only pc, is great.
you leave it in it's Thermal take or Sunbeam Carry bag. Complete with Kb and Mouse + Mousepad.
At the Lan venue before you plug into the network, 1st update your AV, using 3g.
But when going to a lan to Compete in a tournament, it is better to have your faster "stronger" pc.

By LAN PC you mean storage server right? Because all lans are these days is file sharing. :P

Used to be fun. Playing dumb games like tetrinet at 3am.
