Do you need to get laid?

I totally agree with tooks and couldnt agree more... If a woman can't accept you for you then like he said their moer :p. I date enough to know the difference between the crazies, the ones who are not willing to put in the effort and the ones that see things in a different light... Woman are unstable as I see it and this world will never have the perfect one for us guys, but I guess we just gotta live with what is handed to us... :rolleyes:
 
I'm with to0ks on this, as well as Tsar and Syco. I'm hopelessly old-fashioned in this respect, but I think if I just randomly sleep around with girls or have "friends with benefits" I'll carry some sort of burden of guilt around with me for the rest of my life. I'm one of those guys who probably shouldn't pass up his chances of getting some action because they don't come around all that often (certified socially awkward geek here), but they have come, and I have passed them up with absolutely zero regrets.

And I will continue passing them up.

It is maybe, as Kuga says, a case of chivalry being dead, but if I'm still single and a virgin the day I kick the bucket, and being a generally nice and decent bloke who respects girls doesn't get me a decent relationship, it just keeps pointing to my general impression that there is something very wrong with the world today.

It's all fine and well to say that Syco, especially when you guys are still in your mid twenties, but at some stage a "nice guy" has to put his foot down. Shit dude! I'm turning 30 this year........ 30......... and what do I have to show for it? Three relationships in the last four years where I'm the one that gets screwed over and taken advantage of because I'm the "nice guy".

You, Tinman, Wenz and Grimmy..... you guys have met me. You guys know what I'm like. What did I do to deserve that?

Well you know what? Fuck that shit..... up the ass. Why stick with being someone good and treating people well if it's just gonna make them take advantage of you the whole fucking time?

I've been the "nice guy" for nearly 30 years....... time to move on.

Sex shouldn't be some meaningless thing. I was a virgin till I met my current gf(fiancée soon), I knew I was going to get married to this women so for me there wasn't a point in waiting anymore.

She to my greatest fear wasn't one. It still eats me up inside that she did what she did.

Wish I could have met her 5 years earlier.

Hey dude, I know how you feel. I think I might also be going along the same path, but seriously, think about it. If you let your situation get the better of you, then you're no better than that, with all due respect.

I have to agree with MissM. There are girls out there who wants the nice guy. I prefer them to the idiots and the users. I dated a guy with Kuga's outlook on life - he managed to hide it till we moved in together.

My feeling is simple - if you cant respect the opposite sex then how much respect do you have for yourself? Some of these guys who take the view of use and loose and abuse even, I have found to be the most insecure, immature, childish, irresponsible men. And I for one wont have anything to do with a person who behaves like that - especially the girls who has started following the philosophy.

In the end your letting yourself down and your not gaining respect, I know you say you dont care what these girls or guys think about you. But if you stop and take a look at yourself, you will realise that you care and that is why your acting like a spoiled 4year old.

Dont blame all women, guys are just as guilty of abusing the nice girls.

well said. I do not hate woman. I have a great respect for them.
I just think it must be wonderful to actually find someone who you can be yourself with and that you enjoy being around not just for the sake of sex.

Dude honestly you're decent guy and you have been brought up in one of many great old school families where your morals and values actually mean something and you have been taught how to treat women. I'm the exact same and if I'm in a relationship I give my all and I treat the woman the way I have been shown and that is with respect and dignity.

I as a nice guy have also been taken advantage of and I proved my point to my ex literally last month when she broke up with me over a text message and I showed her how naive and childish she was, and that when guys like us step into their lives, women like her don't know how to handle it because they ask for guys such as ourselves and then they run with their tails between their legs. So there is now nothing left for them to search for, as we give them all that they have ever wanted and this scares them.

So what I'm getting at is yes the world just isn't how it used to be and it's I don't see it changing, for a very long time.
