Do you try and complete gaming achievements? How far do you go?

I also do that but after I do that I always feel so guilty, so I watch it late at night.

I once saved at a checkpoint where I had to make a decision that will effect the ending of the game, so I created multiple saves and just went back to that save to complete game with a alternative ending.

Been there, done that! I do it with FIFA all the time during the end of a season so I get to see all my transfer options and choose the best one :)

Are you serious, in fifa , why , my team usually don't have the money either way, so I just play online fifa, and not things like fantasy team or that mode with the cards.

The first game I remember doing this in was the original C&C. The final NOD mission gave you an option to use the Ion cannon on one of 4 landmarks around the world, naturally I wanted to see all of them get destroyed! :D

Its actually a very good stragety to save at certain points in a game to return, the games i struggle most to get achievements are games like cod, it feels like i am stabbing myself right in the heart when i make such a fun multiplayer game all about achievements

I just said why.

And I don't play ultimate team, I play career mode with my own created player controlling the player only not the manager.

Believe me I know. I'm actually trying to get the Ghost achievement in Dishonered and that requires constant reloading and redoing of certain sections to get right.

In fact Dishonered almost becomes a completely different game when you try to play using nothing but stealth.

Acheivements are a lame ass waste of time grind. They are only worth it if it actually unlocks something in game or at the very least unlocks something you can use on your desktop or avatar, like a wallpaper or clothing etc.

Sometimes it's enough just to say that "I have done this this cool thing this many times". But I get your point about getting something tangible for the achievement. But I suppose it's a "journey is more important than the destination" thing

They should maybe make the xbox achievements similar to the xbox game awards, that way you unlock something for you avatar and a theme, that will certainly motivate me to play.

I like having the record. I don't get its lame/ pointless I hate achievements argument. Then don't do them, just ignore it. In the end of the day why do they care so much how people enjoy playing games. Just play and enjoy it how ever you want to enjoy it. There a millions of people who have that same opinion of games in general, they are lame and pointless.

People do that for the same reason most do anything on the internet; to try to either find validation or to be better than you

Sometimes I do try to aim for achievement completion (be it PS3 or PC). Most other times it's usually just a personal achievement I try to reach.
