Has anyone watched Doctor Who?

I started watching with Matt Smith and really liked the season with Clara. I haven't really watched the last season.

Now twitter went crazy yesterday because the BBC has cast a woman as the new Doctor. I don't really mind since I don't have a long history of watching.

The show is kind of cheesy.

I'll add a poll.

Whats your favourite enemies and or things.

I've been watching since the first new Who with Eccleston. I don't mind a female doctor as i really like the new female Master, but it feels like there is a more of social justice push on the show lately. The openly gay companion feels forced and I'm worried they are going to do something similar with the new Doc.

I love the show, its a great show, and for me, the whole idea is the Doctor can be anyone

So female doc is just a new twist. But I miss David Tennent and Peter Capaldi as the doctor.

Yes I agree with this statement.

Those angels that if you blink they keep coming closer. That is the freakiest shit ever.

I started watching in the 80s, a few months before it got cancelled... Been watching new who since it came out in 2005, except last season. I haven't watch last season. Season 9, episode 1 blew my mind, then in episode 2,
Spoiler: show
they went full retard and did the Davros/Star Wars crossover (again!)
. I did finish watching the season, eventually, and the only thing worth watching for is
Spoiler: show
Clara wearing a waitress uniform at the end.

Not gonna bother with the new Doctor, either.

I've watched from the reboot in 2005 and I don't mind the new Doctor being a woman.
I finished season 10 yesterday and the whole season was pretty meh. I didn't like Capaldi's Doctor but loved all three his predecesors (Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant and Matt Smith).
And Bill was a very disappointing companion. The only good thing about this series was Nardole and Missy.
So, yeah, here's hoping the new Doctor and new season will be worth it.

Couldn't stand her. She would see the universe burn just for a quick snog with the Doc. That and she being a bit of a chav.

Amy and Clara on the other hand...

Torchwood: Children of Earth
Now there's a season that still gives me chills just thinking about it.

I'm sure you can... uhm... borrow a DVD set or something "whistling:

Interesting fact that everybody already knows: Torchwood is an anagram for Doctor Who. They marked the tapes of the reboot in 2005 "Torchwood" so nobody would get sniff of what it really was until they were ready to announce it to the public.

I started watching Doctor Who with Matt Smith and am still slowly making may way through the episodes available on ShowMax. Just met Clara and she's awesome.

Don't really mind a female Doctor since River Song kind-of set the scene for that.

I've only seen Peter Capaldi during his cameo appearance in the pilot of Class and I didn't enjoy him. Hopefully he is better overall than that first impression.

As for enemies/characters that haven't been listed, I enjoyed the Silurian episode. I also enjoyed the Matt Smith "A Christmas Carol" special.

Capaldi does a great job with the scripts he's given. I'm a classic who fan, and he brings out a lot of the first Doctor in his character. He even held his lapels like the first Doctor does when he made his appearance during the announcement event.
