Does anyone care about Destiny?

I have been getting a little despondent about games in general lately, seems there's always more hype than actual game, and so I haven't been getting excited about anything for a while

So you haven't watched the Batman Arkham Knight video recently released...? o_0

That thing make me squeal with delight!

The best thing to do is watch trailers and read info on a game, only until you know whether you are interested in it or not, then cut yourself off from all media regarding that game completely, until you can actually play it yourself. Too many games are spoiled by trailers and play-throughs. I have not watched a single Witcher 3 or Batman Arkham Knight video for example. I've also been avoiding anything that shows GTA V gameplay for the last few years. I want everything to be a surprise the fist time I experience it and that's the only way to do it.

I haven't, but interestingly enough, I started playing Arkham Origins last night

Thats not actually a bad idea. The sheer lacklusterness that is Origins will only serve to make the vastly superior Rocksteady title seem even better!

LOL, not a fan of Origins then I take it?

100% completion rate in AA and getting there in AC - Loving every minute of newgame+ etc. Origins I got to having electrocutioner fists and just stopped playing due to not smooth fighting mechanics and just plain boredness. Not-Rocksteady shows, so I don't consider it part of the Batman Arkham franchise but a knock-off cousin :p

Ah that's a pity, I really enjoyed AA and AC, and I saw Origins on special so I grabbed it. I've only just started, gone through the intro prison scene and fought Killer Croc, and just started the free roaming part of the game so not that much to judge it on as yet.

Well its just my opinion, but I really had issues with the continuity from an immersion perspective (Grapple boost is a "prototype" in AC yet he has it in origins???) as well as the fighting felt alot more stiff to me, there would be times where I know I countered that blow but he just doesnt respond. If you do enjoy it, awesome!

Ya I also find it odd that you start out with gadgets that you only got access to later on in AC, but I guess there's a balance between continuity, and building on the last game. The gadgets, especially the grapple boost is a key part of the movement mechanics, and it would be a pity to not have that in a more recent game, even though it's set earlier.

Another thing that doesn't sit so well with me is the name, it's not really an origins story since he's already Batman, it's just Batman a while ago.

The visuals look a bit nicer I think, but so far, it doesn't feel quite the same. Maybe I just need to get in the groove, but combat and gliding and all that feel a little worse than in AC.

For some reason I just couldn't get into it. I didn't find the world as vibrant as the previous games. The mechanics seem fine, just lost interest and never finished it. Where as the 1st 2, I loved and couldn't get enough of them.

I only got into Destiny recently and I have to say I'm having a blast, sure it is repetitive but then again what would you expect from an Online Only shooter
Also this is not a big thing for me as I spent over 3000 hours playing the same 4 maps on COD MW :)

If anyone locally still plays they should add me on PSN, Respawn_Xero and then we can Nightfall and Raid like a boss ! (Not to be confused with DaBoss who I don't think plays Destiny and I would not want to Play as anyway)
