Does MyGaming need a "CLASSIFIED" section ?

I am sure that this must have been debated in the past, but allow me to have my 2 minutes on the soapbox. I have often found that one of the drawcards for visiting the Carb and SAGamer forums, is not to post but simply to browse what games are on sale. While browsing, I sometimes stumble onto a chat thread and may end up commenting.

my point being, what possible negatives could there be in having a classified section on MyGaming ? I can only see positive factors.
 
i think a thread like this was tried and it kinda sorta failed as everyone kept going back to either making their own thread or posting in the swap/sell/trade thread.

no, i don't mean this thread should be the place, i am talking about a proper organised SECTION, like the other forums have.

I think what you mean is a sub-forum?

Dedicated to such WANTED / SALE / SWAP threads within. But who would use such a thing besides us?

What would it include? Hardware, software, games or a generalisation?
 
Like Wenzdayz and czc said, this has been tried before and failed miserably. Get people to actually post on the forum first, then it MIGHT work.
