Does WebAfrica suck?

Hi Fellow Forum Members

Please Note: i realise that most of you are MyBroadband members too, and i posted this there as well, but i duplicated the post because i know more of you here

Overview:
so here is my experience with Web Africa, i recently bought a small business and decided to make Web Africa my service provider. I signed up for a number of services including email, domain, website and fibre...
I was very promptly answered with a generic welcome letter and some invoices after that nothing. i have written and called them at lease 11 times, each time i mailed i got the auto response with a ticket number, but you follow the link and NO actual ticket. on the phone calls i have been told they will investigate and call me back.... and then nothing

All i want is some feedback, its been more than a month and i still have no idea if i am getting fibre or not.

so my question to all of you is have you had the same experience with Web Africa, should i look at moving my existing services to another ISP, and if so who?

thanks for you feedback, at least i know some of you will respond to this

Look, I can't speak for WebAfrica at all. But I've assisted small businesses who have been with both Vox and CrystalWeb, and am on Afrihost myself, and all 3 of those have stood me in great stead. Crystal is slightly more expensive than the rest, but you USED to get great service; after the hack everything seemed to go downhill however. So I'd recommend Afrihost at the moment.

Like DarthRiven I also have no knowledge of Webafrica and I have not used Crystalweb because their packages are beyond my usage scope, but my ADSL line is with Afrihost and my data is done via Vox. I have not had any issues with them in that regard, enough so that I actually prefer paying three accounts each months rather than combine them in a single invoice. However, at work, our webdeveloper hates Afrihost for hosting websites (he does small business webdevelopment on the sideline) and he recommends Hetzner for hosting.
