Well I've gone an bought myself 2 siberian huskys (Boston and Rambo) yesterday and while I wait for them to come home I'm getting everything in order for them so I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find chipped collar or something of the sort. Thanks in advance

Petstores have them and you can also look on the internet. im sure your local Vet will be able to help you as well as you can have your dog literally tagged.

Awesome dogs. I don't know if you even get chipped collars, but your vet should be able to microchip the dogs themselves. Any collar could fall off/be removed anyway.

Your local vet should be able to chip them for you for cheap cheap. I would personally go for the GPS Tracking option for my kids.... i mean dogs.

Don't forget to get them registered. SPCA do microchips that contains dog and owner identity should the dog get lost.
Just make sure the dog is comfortable with the collar as my dog (GS) can't stand her collar and will try anything to get it off so if she went missing a gps collar wouldn't help much.

What...do you even get GPS for your pets? Can they make them small enough? What about batteries and all that?

Funny thread, they were speaking about this this morning on Expresso on SABC3.

You can get these chips inserted at your Vet for quite cheap. You get the normal ID chips and then you get RFID chips, the last one can be used to "track" where the dog is using RF, it's not GPS. You get GPS collars, but this is large and needs batteries etc.

Or get one of these, it's a watertight container with your details that you can hang on the dog's collar. I have one on my keyring to store my personal information(not address, just contact details and some medical info in case). ...or you can put your weed in it....
