Doom 3 - BFG Edition


As someone who got freaked out by Doom 3 back in the day Im not sure how I feel about this.
 
First a re-release of Quake 4, and now Doom 3? Is Bethesda trying to milk it, or are they in financial trouble and trying to make a quick buck?

Must be all those lawyers fees. Can't be cheap having your lawyers crack down on all the other game developers and fans all the time.

I actually think they are trying to make a Profit out of Id Software. Considering the dud that was RAGE Zenimax propably wondering why the hell they bought Id in the first place.
 
After dead space... well I'd be surprised if anything part amnesia dark descent is better or shocking or scary...
 
I'll get this by default! I dig Doom 3, play it atleast once a year!! Nothing like turning off the lights, earphones or surround sound...your imagination set free....damnit! Cant wait!

that is soooo true. I can turn on all the lights, have a Bless Bridgess CD (which I dont have, only afrikaans CD I have is the Bakgat 1 soundtrack) up loud and miss the whole Doom experience. Its all about being "in" the game!

Get ready for shadows and monster closets! Also in the future they run out of common sense and sticky tape, just one of those things.

Ooh, if only I had that the first time round. That see or shoot but not both thing was hectic
 
Doom 3 using 5.1 will be awesome.

If I could've bought that I would've.

I never finished Doom 3, came to the last BOSS by some miracle, then stopped playing, 'cause back then I found it too difficult.

Not sure how I feel about this. I thought the flashlight being separate from your guns kinda added to the atmosphere. It didn't make any sense at all, but it still worked in the game's favor.

Ya, it makes it scarier when you can only see the monsters that you're shooting by the light of the muzzle flash
 
I finished doom 3 on the third day it came out. It wasn't a scary game well for me but I enjoyed it. But the source engine is so much better :-/
