Dota 2 - Valve Employee abusing powers?

I think its shocking that people are justifying the action of the employee. Yes the guy deserves the usual low priority ban. But just because you work for valve doesn't mean you get special treatment. The people in the forum seem to be pretty happy bowing to their master valve and think they deserve special treatment.

If Valve believes they deserve special treatment they need to add it to the rules. "If you swear in front of a vavle employee you will get a 3 month ban, because we are especially sensitive"

Look, that guy is an ass judging by how he posts in that particular thread. What we have here is his account of what happened, I reckon that he might have "trolled" a little harder than he leads us to believe.

Regardless, I do not think the punishment suits the crime.

Looks to me like the guy had it coming. His excuse is that he didn't know it was a Valve employee, so he somehow thinks his behavior is okay as long as he doesn't do it to certain people?

But that's not the point, it shouldn't matter if its a valve employee, the punishment should be the same for everyone.

For a purely technical standpoint it's a bit unfair to ban him for that amount of time, maybe like 2 weeks would be enough.

But on a personal level, after reading his posts, I'm so happy he's out of the way. For all I care he could be in LP for a year. He sounds like a real asshole to me. 0 sympathy from my side.

I agree you get some real douche bags on dota 2. But I mean that kinda ban is a bit excessive, rather mute the guy cause clearly he speak street thug language, but Low priority is tormenting hell, sometimes you wait 1 hour to find a game, then when you do the people in the game leave. 6 months is a bit excessive.

Yeah I also think he is a douche, but I think treat every offender the same. Its not like he is the only douche on Dota.

People don't seem to understand what abuse of power is. If you think its fine for people in power to treat the system as they feel, and the general rules don't apply to them, then fuck it no wonder the political system around the world is the way it is, if we can't even get it right for a simple game.
