Dota 2

Well an upstanding gentleman like him whom is willing to have Adolf as his nick is probably just misunderstood. Should we find him we should just have a good chat. What did he do though?

Interesting fact: Adolf was actually one of the most popular names in Europe at a stage. That was of course until you-know-who made it impossible for anyone to EVER name their child that again.

Guys, please check out this post.

Good ladies and gentlemen, Dota fanatics and enthusiasts alike.

This Sunday we'll have the 4th and final NGL Aorus Corsair Dota 2 Clash Qualifier where the winner will be punching their ticket to the main event @rAge. Four more teams will be making their way to rAge based on their overall performance in the 4 Qualifier events.

Catch all the action and coverage on Sunday from 12h00. The broadcasting lineup will include Hellbird, Profeci, Congo, gg, Saint_Dee, Snare, Rainz, Ridditz, gpmdota, Rustypielover, Hari, and more. We'll be bringing you this action so tune in on Sunday. Check out the tournament in-game under the Europe tournaments in the Amateur section.

The leaderboard currently consists of the following teams (teams that made it to/past the finals stage in at least one of the qualifiers).

4 noobs + nick doto - 24pts
Energy eSports - 18pts
Xperts@TotalChaos Rain - 16pts
In-finity Gaming zeRo - 12pts
For |t|he Dream - 9pts
Lekker Sex - 6pts
Battlenet Boys - 6pts
Easy Forfeit - 3pts
Need rAge Tickets - 2pts
Nieu Meta - 1pts
BlowUpDolls Hydra - 1pts
Glaciem eSports ChillingTouch - 1pts

The favorites to win the fourth and final qualifier? Definitely NewB, Energy eSports, with the dark horse being xTc.Rain. The top 5 may all be going to rage if the winner is among them, but stranger things have happened and a winner could come out of left field.

Nonetheless, please support your teams and favorite broadcasters by joining in on the action on Sunday.

Do you have to play this on steam, or is there a stand-alone client?
What's the dl size including patch needed for launch?

My SO decided we're playing Dota 2 from now on and that's just what we did. I'm surprised at how addictive it got, seeing as previously I couldn't get into Dota 2 at all. We played a lot of bot matches initially so when we eventually moved on to real matches our skill level was a lot higher than the people we got matched with.

I'm just worried because we're still playing lower-level matches and I don't think it's necessarily representative of what it's like at higher levels. As an example, when I play Riki I just rofl-stomp everyone because most people don't seem to know how to counter him at lower levels. Whereas when I queued with a level 12 friend the other day I got my ass handed to me as Riki. The enemy team just locked me down and ensured I couldn't level up. It's crazy how much of a skill gap there seems to be between people on my level and higher levels.

Played a really nice match against higher levels the other day. All 5 of them took tanky heroes and immediately did Roshan upon match start. It was tense and we almost lost a few times, but we just defended until we started outleveling them and eventually stomped all over them because we had a better roster of heroes on our team.

You need steam and its current size is just under 11Gb

The install size is 11GB, but the download is compressed to about 6GB.

Ah yes. I missed the "Download", part. :)

Does anyone have any general tips for playing Bloodseeker? He seems to be the ultimate ganking hero, but I can't quite seem to get his playstyle down. I've been advised to use him for mid, but it's a little difficult because you can't level initially if you're getting the crap harassed out of you.

You need to be good at lasthitting and denying with BS because that heals you. There are very few heroes that can out lane him in mid.
