G'mornin! Had epic fun with Juggernaut last night. Played an hour long game that I did not think we would win, but my friend split-pushed like a demon on Riki, enabling me and Axe to keep on applying pressure elsewhere.

Ye not a fun dota night for me last night played 3 lost 2.... One of those nights maybe better luck tonight.
 
Had an epic 4 to 0 winning streak last night (3 of which I played with Pyro), the 1st wasn't too fun since the entire enemy team rage quit except for one good sport donning a Weaver, but the 2nd game wan't crazy Pyro with Spirit Breaker, myself with Jakiro, we owned our lane:eek:.

Then came my last game of the night, where my team expected me to mid with my Jakiro against a Visage:rolleyes:, I nearly raged at my team for that, but meh, worked out anyway:D

That's not good news, I was just starting to think they were getting their shit sorted. At one stage, mine would freeze 25% of the time at the start of a match. Hasn't done it for a while now.

It was epic fun.
Seriously though people if you want to see how support Jakiro should be played watch that game2. I think you missed only 1 ice path the entire game. Was some insane play!
 
I've been having weird issues as well with Dota but before the patch already. Sometimes when i play again, everything starts lagging, graphics, sounds, mouse starts moving slower ect. I then have to relaunch the game or sometimes restart my PC to fix it. very weird issue

Why thank you, kind Sir :D. That game was epic.

On a somewhat related note, if there are better mid heroes in your team picks don't let the Jakiro mid... Don't do it:p.

On paper it sounds like a grand plan for pushing the mid tower, you have liquid fire which, when maxed, has a 25 dps and 50% attack speed reduction (works well on towers). You also have dual breath, which can clear creep waves, and harass your opponent if he gets close, and the obvious level advantage you stand a chance of gaining vs the laning heroes if you do well in mid (in that last game, I was the highest level at 20 vs their PA at 17 and everyone else on their team 14, and the lowest at 11).

All this sounds like an epic plan, pretty grand actually. So, what could go wrong with such an epic plan? Jakiro is one of the slowest casters with quite a slow cast animation, he has a less than average movement speed, and his attack range makes it easy for him to be harassed in mid (there is no logical reason as to why I should've done well against that Visage in mid"whistling:), and all this makes him easy to shutdown. There are quite a lot heroes who would dominate him mid for these reasons.

I remember one game in particular, where I played a mid Shadow Shaman vs. a mid Jakiro. I found it easy to give the Jakiro a hard time, anticipating his ice paths, dual breaths, and even his macropyre, all because I knew his weakness (speed and range), often forcing him back to base as I eventually took the mid tower.

So basically, if a mid Jakiro is shutdown, you're brilliant plan goes out the window, you could probably still win, but the levels that could've gone to a better suited mid hero are wasted on your Jakiro, and you will have lost your mid tier 1. You can still win, but it's kind of an uphill battle.

Of course, there are other factors to influence your chances of success with a mid Jakiro, but in general, I do not suggest it.

Bought the compendium yesterday...totally worth it. Valve really gives you value for your money.

Also I noticed it takes me under 2 min to find a game on SA...in the morning! Is it just me or?
