So here's what I can confirm for now:

The next game will be called Dragon Age III: Inquisition.
We won't be talking about the story of the game today. Though you can make some guesses from the title.
This game is being made by a lot of the same team that has been working on Dragon Age since Dragon Age: Origins. It's composed of both experienced BioWare veterans and talented new developers.
We are working on a new engine which we believe will allow us to deliver a more expansive world, better visuals, more reactivity to player choices, and more customization. At PAX East, we talked about armor and followers… Yeah, that kind of customization. We've started with Frostbite 2 from DICE as a foundation to accomplish this.

Hope its good plz :D

TBH I don't expect much after DA2 and ME3. I'd be REALLY surprised if this is not just another iteration of game X

as sad as that sounds, you are right. After DA2 I was so pissed off, I hardly see EA going back to a non-console driven top-down quality RPG like DA1 was.

ai :(

I'm definitely interested, but will play the game and read up a lot before buying when it comes out. Dragon Age: Origins was one of the better games to come from Bioware in the past few years, but DAII was a bunch of shit so I'm rather skeptical.

I'm cautious excited for this. After Dragon Age 2 I'm quite concerned about the future of this franchise.

I'll have to wait for a lot more information on this, maybe even for a lot of reviews. Just forget Dragon Age 2 ever existed and work from there... that'd be great :)

I'm one of the few people that really like DA 2 and didn't finish DA:O. I liked the stream line play of DA2 and the story telling, got a bit repetitive at 3/4 of the way through but it was a good game.
Looking forward to DA 3. :D

To be honest I actually didn't enjoy the first one that much. :o

And I love my rpg games(dnd ruleset mainly)

I'd give this game a go. Ideally I'd like something between DA:O en DA2. The last time I played DA2, it had been a while since I played DA:O and playing DA2 in isolation, it was actually not bad.

As for them screwing up the ending like with ME3... Although you can import saved games in DA, their effects are not really to the extend of what it was supposed to be in the ME series, so if they decided to screw up the ending in this one... too bad. They never promised that choices made in DA1 and 2 would have major effects in the next instalment so there were never any expectations.

Curious to see how they're going to forcibly insert multiplayer somewhere into the next Dragon Age.

First of all !!! YAY!!! My life just gets better and better, I'm finishing school this year, which means I'll have a lot of more time to play games, like AC 3, and DA 3.. But I have to agree with a lot of you guys, DA 1 was way better than DA 2, but it was still worth playing for me. I wonder if you'll be able to import DA 2 storyline like it was possible to import DA 1 into DA 2?... It would be cooler than just starting the story all over again. I think DA 3 should be more like DA 1 than 2. Maybe it will be 1st person? But then it would sort of ruin the game, as I'm used to DA being third person... So excited !!!

That to me was the only saving grace for Dragon Age 2, the fact that the gameplay was streamlined. The plot was pure trash, the repetitive use of locations, the horrendous skill tree and the lack of customisation really got to me.

They're probably going to implement it in a Diablo-esque way, just without the "Hold mouse over target to attack" thing.

Dragon Age 1 is one of my fave games... 200+hrs of playing... then I preordered both the expansion (awakening) and dragon age 2 and was disappointed both times... dragon age 2 is slick and pretty, but I missed DA1...
Hope this one is good!

That was exactly it for me, I loved the game-play of Dragon age 2, just the cut and paste level design was rubbish. But it was one of my favourites in regards to game-play.

Cover based shooter anyone? "whistling:

TBH I can't say I have much faith in Bioware any more, so this game really has to be special to turn me around.
