Dragon Age Inquisition

Got mine too today... Was curious to watch the intro movie even though I don't have the actual time to play the game yet... But now I must first download an updated Nvidia driver before I can even open the game :(

Had it on my first effort. Jip switching between them at character creation fixes it.
 
I also had the gender bug after taking a hour to make a character face, restarted my character is fine you have to toggle the race gender and class choices back and forth a few time before settling a choice apparently ,did that and all is well.

What GPU's are being used and frame rates is everyone getting with what settings.
 
Radeon R9-290 Everything ultra, 60 fps at 1920x1080. Except for cutscenes which are locked at 30fps, console way to unlock but haven't bothered yet.
 
GeForce GTX550Ti. Somewhat of a balance between medium and high settings with an average FPS of about 45. I can probably get 60 if I lower some of the settings but I couldn't be bothered, 45FPS average is fine for me for this game.
 
Apart from performance, can you guys give some feedback about how the game is?
I'm thinking about getting it but I don't want to buy it and regret it.

i have been bitten by the Hype Bug/Review Virus. Too many plaudits to ignore. ordered from knet, using the R100 off voucher :-) R399 is cheaper than any other possible avenue, so can't complain.

Also, Standard vs Digital Deluxe. Are the extra things worth it (if anyone got the deluxe one that is)?
 
The writing in that DA:I scene was great. Can't wait to play that game, just not do whatever it is that led to that happening obviously.

I impulse purchased it this weekend, sounds like I won't be regretting it. I did enjoy DA2, but really only the combat, the world and story were pretty weak.
 
Apparently this won't (may not be able to) run on my Core i3-3240... :cry:

UPDATE: There MAY be light at the end of the tunnel... Will only know later today though.

This brings me some ray of hope...

Great game. Much better DA2 but not as good as DAO. Would be close f the bothered implemnting DAO controls instead of the horrid console/controller scheme for the pc. Tac cam is particular poor.

Story and rest of the game is excellent.

I did this with a previous version of Dragon age, I didn't find it worth it. I found it was worse actually, don't like getting items for no reason. Prefer to find my cool items in game.

I don't think it's worth it. Until the end of November, you can get the standard edition from Kalahari for R400 (assuming you use one of the promo codes that MyGaming has listed numerous times). The Digital Deluxe Edition is R700(!) from Origin. That's nearly double the price for some cosmetic crap, a throne and a bit of multiplayer fluff. I looked at the Digital Deluxe version, but I really can't justify that price difference.
