Dragon Age *possible spoilers*

no idea was wondering the same probably later in the game it will ask you to insert cd2.
Anybody checked the bonus disc yet?

I have been playing to much to check it out.

Thanks dude, that explains why it's taking so bitch long to download it.

K, managed to redeem things and get it sorted. Just waiting for the 300mb one to finish then I'll patch and play.

So uhm ... why are there 2 disks if you only use one to install the game?

Disc two has extra language packs.

Did you guys not buy mass effect pc?? The same applies here. Second dics has the german and frenchvoiceovers plus the sub titles in italian, spanish, hungarian and czech.

Nah - never played mass effect :/ I saw it at the shop and thought i should give it a go. I smaak Bioware games.

So anyway - seems the Dragon Plate chestpiece only works on warriors. I'll reroll so I can use it. My ranger is a bit *meh*.

Rogues can also wear it as can mages as long as you have high enough strengh. Most items aren't restricted based on class just attributes.

Ofcourse the chance of your rogue or mage having enough strenght is low.

Yeah ... I always played as a rogue (assassin) in WoW ... and a sorcerer on Aion and Mage in Guild Wars ... I think it's time I go for the bad ass plate wearing, sword wielding warrior class this time around.

If you're a mage and want to weild heavy weapons and wear heavy armour you just have to get the arcane warrior specialization. It converts strength requirements into magic, i.e. instead of needing 38 strength you will need 38 magic. It's pretty awesome.

I made a warrior focused on 2 handed weapons. He's basically the damage dealer with some useful skills for knocking down enemies. I chose Berserker as my specialisation, which helps a lot with damage. Right now with my massive two-hander axe he does up to 90 damage or so per hit. Still using the Dragon armor because i still haven't found anything better at this point.

How do you guys spend your level points?
Just went the arcane warrior soon I will be waring plate lol

Concentrate most on cunning and dexterity for my rogue. Initially I had to spend some on strenght till I got the lethality talent/skill. It means that instead of damage being calculating by strenght + dexterity it's now dexterity + cunning. That talent is only for rogues. I am a duelist/assasin rogue. I have also unlocked the arcane warrior, templar and berserker for further playthroughs since once its unlocked you can use it straight away in a new game.

Btw. Which romance option did you guys go for?? I went with morrigan.

Do you still strugle with groups?
Not yet at the romance part did not have time to play today, busy working on dwarfs place. My mage 30 someting wisdom/spell.
18 for the hp, 14 strengh/dex

Not really. At least not the normal groups at level 18 they are no match. Shale bashes them(best tank in the game imho), Alistair uses his shield bash and other abilities. My duelist sneaks behind and backstabs. While Morrigan uses her offensive spells. Grease and inferno are really effective, as is tempest.

What difficulty level are you guys starting off on with your 1st char & which class?

I want to do ranger, but not sure hey ... he's a bit swak at the start...

I am a elf mage normal dif, so far only died in the fade becaused used the wrong tactic vs the orge.
So far no group has taken me down. But i have been lucky picking the right group.

You don't have to pick a single romance per play through, you can have more than one if you aren't roleplaying properly...

I'm playing on normal, which can get quite hard at times. I haven't pursued a romance yet, not sure I'm going to. I swapped Liliana for Morrigan and the battles seem better for it atm.

After 134.5 hours, I'm sad to say that I have reached the ending of this EPIC adventure. The sadness is a combination of the reality that I've reached the end, the fact the Bioware are masters of creating emotional moments and they don't let the game end on an anti-climax/cliffhanger.

I intend to start a second play through and explore different avenues, I'm pretty sure however that I did everything I could available in my single playthrough.

I can confidently give the game a 9.5 and anyone who enjoys RPGs owes it to themselves to get this game without hesitation. It has its flaws, but the flaws are so easy to overlook. This game pulls you in, connects with you emotionally and sends you on journey of legend.

Dragon Age, IMO, deserves its title of "spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate". I need a sequel =/

That's great Blackhand, I'm only 42 hours in but enjoying it very much so far. With regards to a possible sequel, I do have some concerns. The trend with Bioware for some years was to have Obsidian make the sequels to their games while they focused on other projects. Two examples are KotoR 2 and Neverwinter Nights 2. Both of those games where inferior to the original Bioware games. So if they continue this trend, then we could see Dragon Age 2 being done the same way. It's something I am a little concerned about. One silver lining though is that Bioware is making Mass Effect 2 and not Obsidian, so they might make a DA sequel also.

What are you chaps having as a carrying limit? I finally found a backpack to buy but it only gave me an extra 10 capacity, so I'm stuck on 80 items ...... which sucks.
