Dragon Age *possible spoilers*

I wouldn't go PC unless you have a good machine to play it on :) But i'm more worried about the controle scheme, but seeing as how Mass Effect turned out I shouldn't really worry about this ;)

If you have the pc to run it I would recommend the pc. Tactical rpgs like rts play better on the pc. Also the toolset and mods are pc only.

Game will be enjoyable on xbox,ps3 and pc but this specific game the pc version will offer more.
 
PC means getting an upgrade (which I was planning to do anyway)

Xbox means I can play at work, which will be awesome but I will not be able to connect to Xbox live at all for any updates. Since I am getting my Xbox next month, I will have a ton of other games to play.

So tough choice. I knew I shouldn't have bought that Xbox!! :D
 
I usually reserve my drooling for a good beer or a really special lady but Bioware has me salivating over this game.
 
Just noticed this on the BT games website. So apparently we are getting something for preordering but not the memory band. I hope their info is correct. I am not sure if this is restricted to only BT customers, I know in the US different retailers are offering different items. None of the other etailers are listing any pre order items.

This is for both CE and normal editions.

Guildmaster's Belt
The guilds of Denerim are despised by the peasants of Ferelden because the guildmasters grow fat off their labors. Quite literally in the case of this belt's former owner, who could've stood to lose a pound or two. Icon Desc: An ornate belt, with pouches for gear and such. Really only the belt buckle would be visible on the icon and the rest would be on the collectible card (if they make one for it). The buckle should look a little 'blingy'.

No Baldur's Gate style tactical view for the console version.

Also guys got word back from BT games the guildmasters belt is only available from them as a bonus for pre ordering. A lot of the US stores are offering different exclusives items to get customers to preorder from them instead. Gamecrazy is offering the same item as BT. Hopefully some of the other etailers will also offer a bonus items.

There are plenty of shots of the Dragon Age: Origins show booth and some of the OCmmunity lounge DAO area in Day 2.

I forget what we allowed the fans on the show floor to play. If you are invited to the Community Lounge, you have your choice of ALL of the origin stories.

As to the "rumor" of no overhead view on the 360, I also did not know it was a rumor. It is correct that it is not available in teh Xbox 360 version. I heard Mike Laidlaw, Lead Designer, explain it as a technical reason due to memory. If we had included the top down tactical view, it would have drastically eaten up memory to the point we would have had, at best, 1 enemy on screen at a time. we chose to sacrifice the top down view to keep combat more entertaining (and lethal). :)

Still deciding between duelist and assasin . I have already picked the human noble and rogue and I know morrigan and the dog will be in my party but the rest I will decide when playing the game.
