If you haven’t heard, he took a little break, but is back in the game now.

This was in reply to a query about now being able to add Duke as a friend. Somebody said Duke was to busy to join but that earned the interesting reply above.

Will good things come to those who wait?

For those of us who have waited years for the next chapter in the game series, and have followed rumors, stories of the games demise, and the closing of 3D Realms, this is an encouraging sign. Stay Tuned for more.

I am a Skeptic after so many delays and starts and stops. I just hope that there is a glimmer of hope to this and we can see the game someday.
 
Its a Hail-Mary gambit, an act of desperation. With the law suits and things they will do anything to keep the faith. They have yet to realize that the faithful doesn't give a crap about the company and just wants duke out there.
 
More than likely someone will pick this franchise up someday. It still has brand recognition, and that sells games.
 
Meh. I'm tired of having my emotions toyed with after years of empty promises by these charlatans.

Let it die and make something new for a change, 3D Realms.
 
haha i said i FELT like one :P

yeah the hi-res pack is awesome!!! awesome to lan it too! makes the 3D all proper and stuff... but its a bit hard to aim certain guns but still awesome

Im playing it on the second hardest difficulty. Its actually quiet challenging.

Makes me feel like a 14 year old again.
