YUp saw this on the duke3d gearbox forums. IMHO looks awesome, but if you check this oke started a daikatana and Sin remake some time back and just gave in half way through about.

Let's hope he finishes up on this!

Ja ou, ek jam dit nounog.

Full overhaul of duke3d, everything turned true 3d now, no 2d sprites. Updated sound music alles.

I see it is endorsed so maybe it will be finished. But it might end up like black mesa source bleh.

Ja thing is Black Mesa source (still visit the website almost daily) would have been good if it were released like 3-4 years ago.

Now running on the then "current orangebox" source engine it will look quite dated, exactly what it set out to achieve (bringing hl1 to modern day visuals) might be the exact thing that actually destroys it.

the "current orangebox" source engine in left4dead2 doesn't look dated to me, you an eyecandist ? i'll have a good chuckle if this remakes goes lobby over dedi's :p

The engine it's running on is pre L4D2, If not mistaken it runs off the version that came with the original release of the orangebox. Don't get me wrong, not a bad looking engine to this day whatsoever, but it won't look nearly as good as it would have if it were released earlier :)

Well it still will be better than the first half-life engine:p

Same here. But really wish they would finish it. I just hope this duke3d remake will be done sooner than black mesa.

heheheh. Not really. As I said I'm still gonna play and love it though Gameplay >>>>> Graphics any day :) . In short what I'm trying to say : The time the mod is taking to come out is counting against it by the day unless they are continually updating the engine. Would have been better if they just hurried up abit.

Oh that and the fact that i REAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALY want to play it and im getting all miff with them :p

Did you okes not know that Duke Nukem is actually a remake of Maplassies' life? The reason for the massive delay was he dissapeared here to SA and they've eventually found him on n ProMod server. You can only hide the awesomeness for so long before they find you. Thus, Duke Nukem Forever will be released.
