Duke Nukem 3D: Reloaded fan project runs into licensing issues

Still not exactly sure what the issue is here, GB some conditions they not happy with and now it's on hold ?

i believe they wanted to release it to the public or atleast show it off, but Gearbox is now intervening on that... So even if they finish the game it will never see the light of day.. Unless gearbox says so, from what i gather its going to take time to get gearbox to change its mind and and the Interceptor doesnt want ot waste resources on something they cant get out of thier doors..

Atleast thats my understanding.
