Duke Nukem dev sues Gearbox for USD2-million

“Perhaps the lesson learned here is to never enter a gaming business deal with a person who has had more lawsuits than shipped games.”

That's pretty rich coming from a company who lied to their publisher, stole money from them to fund other projects then pushed out one of the worst games in the last 5 years all while lying to their customers and then didn't even have the decency to apologize, much less own up to the whole fiasco.

Playing through it as we speak. Its not too bad I guess, just very generic. Wish it would take the piss more instead of being so semi- serious. It does have some the worst one liners I've ever heard in a game though.

It certainly does have bad one liners and old references that nobody younger than 30 is going to "get" -- which is ironic seeing as Gearbox modified it to appeal to a younger audience. They could have at least gotten Jon St.John back in to do some better one liners before releasing it. They had a whole selection of good lines over at the Gearbox forum years ago, but they used those for the multiplayer.

I still wholly prefer Duke Nukem 3D. :)

Gearbox Software finished an delivered the game 3D Realms took forever not to finish making and delivering. Now they want their unpaid royalties over Duke Nukem Forever. They should be kissing Gearbox Software's feet :p
