Duke Nukem Forever confirmed

I'm a bit skeptical about this game. It could be a half-ass'ed attempt at bringing out a game that was supposed to be out years ago just to finally get it out of the way. From the video I've seen it really doesn't look very polished - granted it may be early beta coding. I also hope that Duke won't make comments like that all the time because some of them are pretty lame and it's going to spoil the game after a while. Well, that's my opinion.
 
What? Duke Nukem without his lame comments? You cannot be serious man, they make the game. :D

I won't be holding my breath for a great game. Peope expecting too much of this will be disappointed....... tho I hope to be proved wrong.
 
all i want is a fun shooter that doesn't take itself seriously, a problem with all shooters these days, they are all "I'm Srs Biznis"
 
Well I'm not holding my breath, it's been a long time since it was announced, at least Starcraft did eventually arrive at 12 years.
 
Just read on kotaku that Gearbox now own the rights to Duke Nukem and all future products. I think the Duke's future is safe in the hands of an awesome developer.

Except this not going to be anywhere near what people want or expect. Guaranteed. And then there will some controversy or other ala Crappyvision style. And how much you wanna bet it won't be out early 2011?

Well it just wouldn't be DNF if something didn't go wrong :p
Hopefully it doesn't though - Gearbox is an awesome studio
 
*seals self in nuclear bunker* My main fear is that this will be too close to borderlands. The game play, esp. Monster truck section (with boost) looked very close to it. Make no mistake, the borderlands engine is good (when it doesn't crash) but I'm hoping for radically different gameplay.

I have to join the sceptics on this one and say that, although 2K is awesome, they are competing with the memory of Duke Nukem which is going to make it extremely hard to deliver what people expect.
