Dungeon Siege 3

Well seems that a patch for PC controls in the works...

Players of the PC version of Dungeon Siege 3 were disappointed with the keyboard-and-mouse controls used in the game, generally deciding that using an Xbox 360 controller was the way to go. If you're one of those folks, lead designer Nathaniel Chapman says there's good news: Obsidian plans to release an update that will improve the traditional PC controls. According to Chapman, better PC controls for the game is "one thing I would have liked to have spent more time on, and we are actually spending time on now."

Chapman also hinted that Obsidian would like to have made "a more fleshed out tutorial system" and "more unique armor variants" for the game's four playable characters. But those will have to wait for future versions of the game: "It's always good sequel or DLC material," he said.

For those who don't know the patch has been released and will update on next launch through steam
 
Just played the demo recently, I was quite amped for this title and the graphics were great!, the controls were okay, but I found the overall game to be actually very bland and boring...

I've played dungeon siege 1 and 2, I have to say I did not particularly like them due to repititiveness, but I did find them fairly decent with regards to loot+gameplay. Now with dungeon siege 3 I was hoping it would be better because I did not like the previous dungeon sieges that much, but I'm sorely dissapointed as I found this game to be lackluster, and stripped bear of the good parts of any hack and slash game (little loot, many quests, hardly any cool spells..).

Overall I think this title should be given a pass unless you don't mind running around doing a loooot of stuff with less then the imagined tools to do it..

sigh ditto...although haven't uninstalled it yet. Just got really bored. Finished Fallout NV Dead money yesterday. Busy with Honest Hearts!
 
Actually enjoying it quite a bit....

A question though, if I buy something from one of the traders it always ends up in my inventory in the 'Items' tab and I cannot seem to Use/Equip any of the items. Any thoughts/guidance would be appreciated.

well, if "Obsidian plans Dungeon Siege 3 update with better PC controls" becomes true, it might be worth playing
I have not looked at it yet, but what I read is the most people complain about the controls, thus better control, better gameplay
 
After playing the demo I found that DS3 was nothing like the previous Dungeon Siege games. I was a bit dissapointed at first, but decided to give the game a try anyway. It is still nothing like the previous DS games, but I must admit it is quite fun to play.
 
for me , nothing will ever come close to baldurs gate , but then , im a nostalgic child when it comes to old games.
ive played dungeon siege 1 and 2 , and for me this one is alright , plenty of story , plenty of plot line choices to make ,
and I do find the bosses challenging. The game is not bad at all.
