Dungeons and Dragons (Board Game with dice)

Good evening all... After going to Durban for a holiday this long weekend I happened to find an old box of mine in parents garage and came across my D&D collection of dice, character sheets and some D&D 3rd edition Player manuals and DM's guides and brought back some awesome memories of back in the day of weekend long sessions of battling monsters and raiding dragon lairs, and it made me wonder if there are still people playing? I have tried to keep some what in touch with the updates and lost interest when 4th edition was badly received but I hear the 5th edition has got some of the old die hard fans happy again. Are there still some that still play? Whether its on Tabletop Simulator or at a venue I would love to try and get back into it.
 
We have a regular 5th ed game going, but there aren't currently any openings. You can check out various gaming venues around Johannesburg, though -- they might have regular games.

Dee-Twenty comes to mind, but there are also shops like Battle Wizards in Centurion that might be able to help.
