Durban Gathering - October

Ok, so after a bit of feedback from the usual suspects, I decided to change this into a poker night type of gathering. This is how it'll go ........


Anyone that wants to play brings an item to 'buy-in' to the game - a box of choccies, bottle of booze, tin of beans (lol), whatever you want. It all goes into a basket and the winner takes it all.
I'll do finger food (sausage rolls, chicken bites, pizza squares, etc) and everyone can bring their snacks and alcoholic beverages.
It'll be in the lounge/dining room and the deck so plenty of space and a TV and whatnot. I reckon it could be fun for a change :D


Saturday 4th October - fast approaching :D


P.S - 5 card draw is probably the best poker to play for the evening.
P.P.S - been suggested to wrap the buy in item ..... it sounds good, do it! :D

Ya i should be there bud, all depending on the sprog that's coming, if he decides its enough cave time and wants out then i will let you know. But otherwise i'm in.
 
ye but hiring shit for a handful of people is meh - costs the same either way ...... I dunno, I should have just gone to a restaurant or something.

Well what do you need to hire dude? You have a braai, a fridge get some paper plates.

Unless you are hiring strippers then we can talk!
 
I tried to source cards and shit, could have made it a poker night with good food :love:

but alas, no one has cards and chips anymore :wtf:
 
No! Surely you can find things like that in CNA or novelty shops.

I have a poker table, you can have if you arrange collection.
 
I saw them available but they are pricey (well, the two sets I found were). Table and chairs can always be organised, was just hoping someone/anyone had the poker goods, might be an awesome way to spend an evening ;)
 
I have cards and poker chips....

FYI - Tobacco Inn at Sanlam Centre has tons of poker stuff. Chips, cloths decks shufflers etc.

What's your budget, I saw a poker set here at cash converters. I might be able to ship it down.

Much thanks for the offer dude but I think if we do this, I'll just take advantage of Roomys :D


If anyone is keen, here are my thoughts -

Everyone that comes can bring an item, anything and that will be their buy-in. Whoever wins will get all the items as the prize like. I'll get a round table and chairs and make some finger foods. Snack type shit and booze you can bring. Anyone that doesn't wanna play can chill in the lounge and watch shit or socialize or whatever, it's next to the where the poker will be played.

Give me some feedback peoples ;)
 
I have 2 sets of blue motorcycle cards I can bring :D

Edit: and maybe a set of Castle Larger cards, and even more maybe a set of poker dice?
