Durban Gathering - October

All sounds good MH, poker isnt fun unless their are stakes. I think we really need to be careful of what the dodgy types here on MyG will bring though....

Ill bring the poker chips and a deck of cards. Are we playing 5 card draw or Texas hold em?

I only know Hold 'em. :(
 
Can we reach a decision on which version it will be? Going to need to go over the rules, haven't played in years.
 
Five Card Draw most probably because the other way needs a dedicated dealer, so meh. With 5 card, we can all have turns dealing like.
 
Sounds quite fun actually.
Try wrapping the stuff before it all goes in to the pot. People will then not know what prize or booby prize they are playing for.
 
You can play Hold em and 5 card with everyone having a turn to deal no worries there. I like the wrapping part !!
 
This gathering actually sounds like a lot of fun. You small-town coastal folk sure know how to have a good time. Sadly, I'm up here in dust country, so a 600km drive is out of the question.
 
I am actually looking forward to this, got my Zynga poker account back online and practicing. Need to do some 5 card practice too in case i cant convince everyone that Hold em is the way or even Omaha (too technical).

Plus with beer and a bit of tchooning this evening is going to be orsm!
 
If anyone can swing a laptop with ...... will hook up to my internet and the TV and stream YouTube for sounds. Coz I haz playlist!

Hmmm, say mebbe Wednesday or Thursday this week? It's not world ending if it's after that, I'm just being a stickler for forward planning as usual :p

I still need to figure out what I'm getting as my buy in and it is fast approaching :wtf:
