Dying Light Opinions and Release Date

Install size is around 17GB and that's without any patching ect.

Dead Island Riptide is sitting at just over 6GB installed so 17GB seems ok.

What do they need to refund?
I find it strange that they would take your money without release of the game. Even PSN store won't deduct monies until release date.

I Pre Ordered it, so paid in full for the game a few weeks back... Then they sent an email saying its delayed, now iv emailed them saying when is it delayed to and can i get a refund, and they replied it will be available end of Feb...

Conveniently they forgot to reply to my request for a refund...

I've always had to pay immediately when placing a pre-order, regardless of which online store I used.
 
So although Techland stated there would be no review embargo they conveniently forgot to send out review copies until 12 hours before launch. So far various sites have posted their first few hours' impressions with full reviews expected later this week. Nothing too negative at least, although not overwhelmingly positive either. From what I've read it seems the players haven't yet made up their minds about whether they're really enjoying it and whether they can see themselves spending 50+ hours in the world. Story seems minimal, which is unfortunate but not a big deal with a game like this I guess. The parkour and night-time beserk zombies have gotten some good praise. So far I've not been dissuaded from purchasing, looking forward to hearing your guys' opinions once you've played a bit (I'm on the fence about downloading it, I really hate paying so much money for something I can't touch [emoji14], so I may wait for the disc copy next month unless the full reviews journey more into 'must-play-now' territory)
 
The review embargo thing was lol. Techland made a big deal out of how they won't have any embargoes and then they don't send out review copies. LOL!
 
For some reason my PS4 didn't start the auto download so I had to kick it off this morning. Hopefully be done by the time I get home, provided there's no load shedding.

I think that a lot more publishers are gonna be pulling these moves to dodge click bait reviews.Well played Techland.
 
so....anybody played this on a console yet? is it any good ? I debated getting on PC but decided to hang off and get it on the xbone at some point in the future

Dude... My Tv stopped working last night... :cry: Looks like i have to get a new one... Thinking of going the FNB route... But shit man... Im not having a good run at the moment...

This game looks very promising, as I've maybe mentioned before... but I hope it doesn't turn into a "dying light".

Edit: Played Dead Island for a number of hours, co-op. Reached a jungle area then stopped. Did not play since.
