During the Nintendo Spotlight today, Nintendo officially confirmed that Metroid Prime 4 is on the way.
A short teaser shown during the conference revealed a “4†followed by the familiar Metroid Prime theme and logo, but no other information aside from a promise that the game is “now in development for Nintendo Switch.â€
No release date, developer, or story information was revealed. It is, however, available for preorder.
The return of Nintendo’s first-person Metroid game marks the first core entry in the series in a decade, following Metroid Prime 3: Corruption in 2007. The latest Metroid game, Metroid Prime: Federation Force, came to 3DS last year.
