EA bungles Need For Speed Rivals system requirements?

Surprised at how fast 8gb RAM has become the norm these days yet for the past 6 years 2gb was enough.
 
These seem about right, especially after seeing other next gen game releases. All because battlefield didn't support it doesn't mean this can't. Also why does this person keep referencing most wanted? That used the chameleon engine not frostbite.
 
Input: keyboard and mouse............does that mean i can't use my 360 controller anymore :( oh the horror what will become of driving games on pc now!!!!

Atleast my system is more than above spec :D

That's very strange, I was sure Most Wanted ran on Frostbite 2, but it seems you are correct.

Maybe because The Run used FB2, most people assumed Most Wanted does too?

yes they are but only about 4-5 gigs are available for games as the os's are using the rest, and the ram is unified which means if the gpu takes up a gig or 2 even less is available for the game ;)

Although sometimes many games cap usage at about 4Gb's. How ever with 8GB Ram requirements we may see many in the near future use more than 4, perhaps 6,8,10 or how ever much is available to make use of.

You're correct about Most Wanted, I incorrectly associated it with the Frostbite engine. It's a bit weird that they'd ditch XP support for the Run and Most Wanted, but retain it for Rivals. Not least because Frostbite last supported XP with three games; Bad Company 2, BC2: Vietnam and Medal of Honor. There's literally no chance Frostbite 3.0 will ever run on XP. Frostbite 2.0 was entirely DX 11 as well.
