EA isn't impressed with Black Ops II

Yeah because MOH:Warfighter doesn't look like every other bloody Military Shooter on the market.

Oh, shut the fuck up EA. Your petty ramblings last year were beyond childish, and CoD still outsold your game. Get over it and move on.

I blame the fans, those blithering idiots that keep buying this tripe, time after time, after time, after time. If everyone goes out on Blops 2's/MOH's release date and spend their $40 on something else, anything else, and not a single copy is sold they will have no choice but to NOT make another one. Unfortunately the chances of this happening is about as likely as the spontaneous combustion of 76.3254% of the planets population, at the same time.

Not to defend EA, but COD has been "looking tired" since MW1 already.

It would be nice to see a core engine from at least the last decade being used in a COD title.

Eventually this whole thing will topple under it's own unchanging weight, it's only a matter of time before this yearly military shooter formula crashes spectacularly.

Yeah, but that will mean something else will become "Cool" or "Mainstream" and be milked like a milkshake giving cow. My Worry is that it will be RPGs.

Well, in their defense, what I've seen and heard of Black Ops 2 actually looks really good. It would seem Activision is stepping it up a notch this year. I'm especially interested in the cause and effect system they want to employ.

Thats me!! And I'm proud of it. Thats what I enjoy...obviously in your eyes, being an idiot :wtf:.

Fixed for you.

Your enjoyment over the good of a genre.... and people say Im selfish.

Oh come on, surely by now you've realized that people primarily only have their own set of needs prioritized at any given time? Or am I misreading any potentially intended sarcasm?

The majority rarely stops to think how their actions is affecting the state of the industry.

I love how they always have something to say...Someone should tell them to stop talking shit and fix their completely hopeless and useless Origin piece of crap before throwing stones at other developers. Oh and EA in case you haven't noticed...COD has out sold any and every game you have ever made or been a part of lol...

Yep you missed the sarcasm in that one.

Sorry about that, I bow down to your self-assigned game critic overlord status.

Yes I consider the people who keep buying what, most will agree is, causing mass stagnation in a genre idiots. They are idiots because they are creating a demand for a product, a product that has become inferior and has left any semblance of innovation behind, which should have, by all reason, died off several instalments ago had it not been for the devoted idiots who kept shovelling money at the publisher and developer who time and time again return broken or unplayable games. I find it hilarious how fast the devoted forget just how broken Black Ops was on release yet here they are again, queuing up, salivating at the thought of getting their hands on the next instalment.

Yes I consider them idiots, you dont have to like it, but you may as well accept it because its not about to change & I am sure I am not the only one who feels this way. I shall book mark this post and take great pleasure posting it when the game does come out and the inevitable slew of player issues, complaints and rants sullen our forum pages with their drivel.

Im so tired, seriously tired to tears of these military shooters and the constant hype. Someone needs to make a game like Bully again. That game was an epic, fun, action adventure and not a single bullet shot.

Dude, no offense. I don't like CoD all that much myself, but you really need to start thinking a bit. Just the other day you were spitting mad at people who didn't like ME3's ending, now you're insulting people who like a game you don't. That's pretty hypocritical of you.

Regardless of your opinion of the game, if people enjoy it, who are you ton insult them for buying it? Nobody is being selfish by buying something they enjoy.

And this bullshit that CoD is apparently holding back the rest of the industry? Dis perde kakkas. The only thing CoD is holding back is...CoD. Anyone else who makes sub-par games aren't doing it because of CoD, they're doing it because they're lazy shits. CoD isn't forcing anyone in the industry to follow its example. Blaming CoD for bad games is like blaming Uwe Boll for other bad movies.

So much melodrama over something so trivial.

I think you'll find I said stagnation in the genre, not the medium.

An argument this thread kind of points out:

“Nobody really buys any FPSes unless they’re called Call Of Duty,” he said, speaking with Edge.

“There just isn’t the interest there in doing anything that tries to step away from the rules of the genre – no one wants to do something that’s quirky and different, because it’s too much of a risk. And a large part of that is the cost of doing it.”

Source: MyGaming

Its not about other titles being sub par, IMO, Black Ops 1 was a sub par product but it still sold, its about Publishers not wanting to fund anything else, shooter wise, because it doesn't sell as good as another Military shooter, enter COD & BF. How many thread on this forum alone have whined on and on and on about the lack of anything new in the medium, you yourself took part in them, and not to disagree but to lend your voice to the masses. So why when I say the same thing am I suddenly hypocritical? I have an opinion that I stick to, how is that any differrnt that markface sticking to his guns about his love of COD?

Like you said, melodrama over something trivial. meh.
