EA revises Orgin's license agreement

More bullshit. They just added a bunch of flowery phrases of zero legal use. "care" "appreciate" "sensibly"

Everyone happy. Except they changed absolutely NOTHING. The privacy policy (which curiously leaves you with less privacy than you'd be entitled to without the privacy policy) is unchanged. Log files, cookies, tracking partners, sharing info with 3rd parties etc all still in there. Even better, the privacy policy specifically overrides the EULA, so it doesn't even matter what changes they make on the EULA to gloss over this uproar.

I still don't really care to be honest. Lots of people are freaking out about this and maybe I should, but I don't really care. I have nothing to hide from them on my machine, but maybe it's the thought that counts here?

I was using origin and when I clicked on "read license agreement" this popped up:

Also, Tincan, "orgin" ... really? Stop messing around with the twins and get your mind back in the game! :p

Lol picking about in our privacy. But in any case people would have just blindly agreed to the terms in any casein a few dedicated people that read these kinds of things since I personally know very few people that sit and read the EULA. Never used to read the EULA personally but nowadays I do just for lulz (and out of interests sakes ESP when you can mess about with an editor or have access to the engine tools that developers give along occasionally. But hey what if games like BF3 and COD:MW3 monitored things on your PC? Would that stop you from playing a game you bought with your hard enraged cash? But in any case if the people choose to stand against companies then most of the time they will remove things like this since they want to avoid any further bad publicity. We know how much people hate red tape ^_^

Reading the EULA I just find it kinda scary and very vague. The terminator future is coming... better start building that bunker
